Biography

Ms. Catherine Wanjiru holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Moi University and a Diploma in Law (KSL), and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Ms. Wanjiru is highly skilled in Conveyancing Law and registration of Commercial Securities. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge in general Commercial Law, Civil and Criminal Litigation, Arbitration, preparation of Limited Partnership Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Loan agreements, Terms and Conditions for use of Credit/Debit Cards and guidelines for Debt Recovery for use by leading commercial banks in Kenya.

Ms. Catherine Wanjiru additionally has experience in Compliance law, Intellectual Property, registration of Trademarks, registration of Foundations and Trusts, Private Placement Notes, Syndicated Agreements, Labour and Employment claims and prosecuting recovery claims for Insurance companies in Motor, Burglary and Theft, Loss of Property through fire and civil strife, Fidelity Covers and Goods in Transit amongst others, litigating in Courts and in Special tribunals and before arbitrators including but not limited to Unlawful Dismissal, Retrenchment and Redundancy, Unionisable Employees and Class Actions, Restraint of Trade and Master/Servant Duty of Care and has offered secretariat services to various Companies’ Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Attorna, John worked in the UK of an international law firm.
